Alloys for medical devices, instruments and imaging equipment.
Medical equipment makers require an alloy to keep its properties for the life of the device, and to leave the imaging field undisturbed near a scanner. We have supplied materials for medical technology for many years, as semi-finished products and as components. Current uses include connectors for hospital equipment, fluid-circuit components for respiratory assistance devices, and parts of MRI and X-ray scanners.
ARCAP® nickel-silvers combine high mechanical properties with strict non-magnetic behaviour, which suits MRI scanner components and optical fibre connectors. Low-alloyed coppers resist the thermal and mechanical stress seen by the connectors of mobile medical devices. Where your specification excludes lead, the EnviB® brasses and the ZeST® range keep the machinability of the leaded grades they replace.
Constantan 45 has the vacuum tightness needed for the hermetic body of X-ray tubes, and we supply that part forged or stamped from strip. Every delivery comes with certified chemistry, dimensions and documentation. The regulatory file of the finished device, including its biocompatibility, remains with its manufacturer, and we supply the material test reports it draws on.
Non-magnetic grades
ARCAP® nickel-silvers stay strictly non-magnetic while keeping high mechanical properties, for parts that work near an MRI scanner.
Lead-free options
EnviB® brasses and the ZeST® range replace leaded free-machining grades and keep the machinability your turned parts rely on.
One route, from melt to part
Melting, forming, heat treatment and machining stay in-house, with properties, dimensions and documentation certified at every step.
Continuity of supply
Main plants in France, seven service centres and local stock keep your material available through a health crisis or a transport disruption.
Group certifications
Certified across our sites.

ISO 9001
Quality management, all 12 sites of the group.

ISO 14001
Environmental management at Suippes, Breteuil, Rydzyna, AW Fraser and LBA UK.

ISO 45001

Applications
What we make for medical equipment.
Non-magnetic parts for MRI and scanner components
ARCAP® grades bring high mechanical properties and strict non-magnetic behaviour to the components of MRI scanners and of the X-ray equipment used in radiography, tomography, urology and mammography.
Connector components for hospital and mobile devices
Low-alloyed coppers resist the thermal and mechanical stress that connectors of mobile medical devices see in service. Niclafor® 1000, a copper-nickel-tin spinodal alloy, provides connectors with high strength and fatigue resistance.
Constantan 45 for hermetic vacuum-tube bodies
Constantan 45 has the vacuum tightness required for the hermetic body of the vacuum tubes in X-ray scanner beam generators. We control the route from casting to forming and supply the material forged or stamped from strip.
Forged valve bodies and technical fittings
Our stamping and forging of copper alloys give valve bodies and technical fittings their tightness and their resistance to high pressure and extreme temperatures. Respiratory assistance devices are one use.
