Power
Alloys for equipment that stays in service for decades.
Power equipment is specified once and then expected to run for decades. A generator end ring needs strength and conductivity in the same part. A breaker contact needs a stable electrical behaviour, and a cooling circuit has to resist corrosion for the life of the plant.
We provide copper and nickel alloys selected or developed around your application, supplied as bars, strip, wire, forgings or machined blanks. Our engineers work with yours from the first drawing to the finished part, and our service centres keep local stock once the part is in series.
The energy transition is a long-term commitment, and we are already working on its key components: hydrogen storage, current sensing for electrification, and nuclear new-build and life-extension programmes.
The right alloy
Alloy and temper selected or developed with your design office, from the first concept to the finished part.
One industrial route
Melting, forging, rolling, drawing and machining in our own plants, with properties, dimensions and documentation controlled at every step.
Near-net shapes
Forged or machined blanks close to the final part, which saves metal and finishing time on rotor rings, vessel bosses and valve components.
Long-term supply
Traceable sourcing, local stock in seven service centres, and continuity of material from first fit to repair and recycling.
Group certifications
Certified across our sites.

Applications
The parts we make for power equipment.
Generator rotor end rings and bars
Rotor end rings, rotor bars and short-circuit rings require strength and conductivity in the same part. We supply them as forged blanks, bars or machined parts, with Niclafor® 1000 for the high-strength rings and Siclanic® S or Cuprofor® where conductivity matters more.
Relays, contactors, breakers and current sensing
Low and medium voltage switchgear uses our strip for relay and contactor parts, vacuum circuit breaker contacts, shunts and terminals. Constantan 45 and Niclal® 43A give the stable resistivity that current sensing needs, and Cuprofor® or C98 the conductivity that connectors need.
Valve, actuator and cooling circuit components
New-build and life-extension programmes need components with a traceable supply that lasts as long as the plant. We machine valve and actuator components, supply copper-nickel grades for cooling and sea-water circuits, and hold stock for nuclear components at our Breteuil service centre.
Forged bosses and regulators for high-pressure hydrogen
Type IV storage vessels need a boss that holds pressure up to 1,000 bar and resists hydrogen embrittlement. We forge it in Hardiall®, a beryllium-free copper-nickel-tin alloy, and supply the same grade for regulators and transport umbilicals.

Forged boss for Type IV hydrogen vessels
- The stake
- A vessel boss holds hydrogen at up to 1,000 bar and must maintain its strength, resist corrosion and withstand hydrogen embrittlement over the life of the vessel.
- Our response
- A boss forged in Hardiall®, a beryllium-free copper-nickel-tin alloy, delivered as a near-net forging ready for finishing.
- The result
- Component integrity over the vessel's life, on vehicles and in stationary storage.
