Nickel 206C
NiMnSiC
Nickel 206C combines the high nickel content of Nickel 206 with the low carbon limit of Nickel 201. It serves shunts, precision resistors and battery pack connectors that may see high temperature in service.

Why this grade
Tightest manganese, copper and iron limits of the pure nickel range
Lowest electrical resistivity of the pure nickel range
Low in carbon, for high temperature use without intergranular corrosion
Available from annealed to full hard temper

GradeChemistryYield strengthChoose it when
Nickel 206CYou are hereNi480 MPaChoose it when the part needs the purity of Nickel 206 with a low carbon content, or the lowest resistivity of the range. Tempers run from annealed to full hard.
Nickel 200Ni500 MPaChoose it when the part needs standard pure nickel, UNS N02200, in hard or spring tempers. For high temperature service, take the low carbon Nickel 201.
Nickel 201Ni450 MPaChoose it when the part sees high temperature in service and you need a pure nickel referenced UNS N02201, with a lower carbon limit than Nickel 200.
Nickel 206Ni480 MPaChoose it when the drawing calls for DIN 17740 W n°2.4060, or when you want more nickel and lower resistivity than Nickel 200, in annealed or hard temper. Nickel 206C adds a lower carbon limit.
Nickel 206ANi150 MPaChoose it when you need low carbon pure nickel with tighter residual limits than Nickel 201. It is supplied annealed, with no DIN or UNS designation.
Niclal 400NiCuFeMn700 MPaChoose it when the part faces seawater or chloralkali corrosion, or needs more strength than the pure nickel grades, and high electrical conductivity is not required.
